Cello : Ageet Zweistra
Ageet Zweistra studied the cello with Anner Bijlsma at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, the Netherlands. Soon she became member of the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra (Ton Koopman), the Collegium Vocale Gent (Philippe Herreweghe) and Ensemble Mosaïques (Christophe Coin), founder member and solo cellist of the Orchestre des Champs-Elysées (Philippe Herreweghe).
She participated in more than 100 CD recordings, and travelled the 5 continents of the world for concerts. She is involved in the teaching program of the Formation Supérieure of Abbaye aux Dames in Saintes (France), which is the only structure for postgraduate students to learn to play classical and romantic repertoire on period instruments. Her passion lies in chamber music, she was member of the Turner Quartet from 1986 until 2005, and since 2007 of the Edding Quartet, recording Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven and Brahms on period instruments.
